Center Governance
CERL is currently financially supported by the Washington University School of Law and external research grants. The CERL Director is responsible for defining the mission of the center and implementing programs to achieve it. The Director is also responsible for administering Center staff and overseeing its day-to-day operations. The CERL Director reports to the Dean and the Associate Dean of Faculty at the School of Law.

The Associate Dean of Faculty, in consultation with the CERL Director, will appoint a CERL Steering Committee during the Spring 2007 semester. Members of the Steering Committee will be drawn from the faculty of the School of Law, faculty from other schools at Washington University, the law school student body, and distinguished law school alumni. The Steering Committee will advise the Director and staff on the CERL mission, priorities, and strategic planning. Those appointed to the Steering Committee will serve for (possibly renewable) two-year terms.
