Even the most impressive piece of technology needs an effective front-end for it to be used to its potential. At CERL, we've experienced the power of presentation first-hand and invest significantly in creating interfaces that work to encourage the use of solutions we participate in. Given this edict, it is early in a project's life-cycle that we commit time to studying the subject matter, looking for simple and pointed designs that will effectively present the material to intended audiences. In the end, the objective is quite basic — Be clean, be clear, and be certain. The DESIGN page of CERL warehouses the interface suggestions we present to our collaborators. We keep them available for reference sake and figure there is no reason we can't open the doors and let people walk the halls. Comments, ideas suggestions and grandiose, sweeping compliments are always welcome. Troy DeArmitt CERL Research Technologist |
