Academic Expertise
CERL Core Faculty members and students have wide-ranging academic expertise. This includes expertise in research design for empirical legal research, for both observational and experimental studies. We possess experience with data coding and collection, and in conjunction with the Research Technologist, in web-based data collection systems. Another area of expertise is data analysis and applied statistics, including software expertise in a number of packages.

CERL Core Faculty members have substantive expertise in a broad variety of aspects of the judicial systems and the law, from both a legal and social scientific perspective. They have experience writing grant proposals and publishing in law reviews, peer-reviewed journals, and books. CERL also regularly recruits research assistants from the law school and Arts & Sciences to help CERL affiliates on their research projects.
